XBStation is pleased to support NUAIR in advancing Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) operations through the deployment of its XB Link Starlink C2 connectivity solution.

As part of this collaboration, XBStation supplied the XB Link Starlink C2 modem, integrated with a 4G backup connection to provide redundant and resilient command-and-control (C2) communications. The solution is designed to enhance operational reliability and support mission continuity in demanding BVLOS environments.

According to NUAIR, the finalized system combines XB Link Starlink connectivity with 4G redundancy, enabling optimized BVLOS operations alongside a radar-covered Detect-and-Avoid (DAA) environment and extended flight endurance capabilities.

"We are happy to have finalized our XB Link Starlink C2 modem. This is coupled with a 4G modem for redundancy. With a 3 hour flight time, unlimited C2 and our Radar covered DAA BVLOS area, we are optimized for BVLOS ops."

NUAIR also highlighted the operational advantages of multicopter platforms for safety-focused missions, particularly their ability to hover, descend, and rapidly adjust course without requiring continuous forward momentum.

The collaboration demonstrates how reliable, multi-layer connectivity can help enable safer and more scalable BVLOS operations. By combining satellite communications with cellular backup, operators gain greater confidence in maintaining critical links throughout their missions.

XBStation remains committed to supporting drone operators, system integrators, and aviation innovators with robust connectivity solutions designed to meet the evolving requirements of BVLOS and advanced air mobility operations.
